Manage Lead Categories - To categorize a Lead.

When a Lead is categorized, the categorization is recorded as an event. This event is displayed in the History tab of the Lead window only if you have selected "Categorized" as an event for the Lead Object in the Options dialog box.

To Categorize a Lead From the Lead Table View

1.  Using the Teams, Users, or the Search tab, locate the Lead item from the Table View.

2.  Select the Lead to be categorized.

3.  From the Lead menu, select Categorize. The Categorize dialog box is displayed.

4.  Select the Team to which the required Category belongs.

The Categories created for the selected Team are listed in the Categorize as list.

5.  Select the required Category.

6.  Click OK.

The Lead is categorized in the selected Categories.

To Categorize a Lead From the Lead Window

1.  Open the required Lead.

2.  Click the Categories tab.

The Teams to which you have access are listed.

3.  Select the required Team.

Categories associated with the selected Team are listed.

4.  Select the required Category.

5.  Click .

6.  From the File menu, select Close.

The Lead is categorized in the selected Categories.
