Transferring a Lead

Permissions Required: Transfer/Assign a Lead

You can transfer a Lead to a different user or team. When you transfer the lead, the Owner property value is updated with the newly assigned user. If the new owner is associated with a different team, then the Team property is also updated automatically.

To Transfer a Lead

1.  Select the required Lead from the Table View.

2.  From the menu bar, click Transfer.

Alternatively, right-click the required lead record in the table view and select Transfer.

The Transfer To list box is displayed. The list box displays a list of teams and the associated users. The Users group box displays all the users associated with only those teams to which you have access. The Teams group box lists all the available teams.

Note: You can either choose to transfer the lead to a specific user from any of the teams that you have access to, or transfer the lead to a team to which you do not have access.

3.  Select the user or team to which you want to transfer the lead, and click OK.
