Creating a Report Schedule
To Create a Report Schedule
1. In any Workspace, from the GoTo menu, select Analytics. The Talisma Analytics Workspace is displayed.
2. From the File menu, select New Schedule.

From the GoTo menu, select Reports Manager. The Report Manager is displayed. Click Schedule.
- OR -
From the GoTo menu, select Schedule Manager. The Schedule Manager is displayed. Click New.
The Schedule wizard is displayed.
3. In the Schedule name field, type the name of the schedule you want to create.
4. From the Select report(s) list, select the reports you want to schedule. To select consecutive reports, click the first report, hold the SHIFT key down, and click the last report. For a random selection, click the first report, hold the CTRL key down, and click the other reports.
5. Click to move the selected reports to the Schedule list. To remove reports from the Schedule list, click
.
6. Select Schedule on. Select a date and time for running the selected report.

Select Schedule Recurs to schedule reports to be run on a recurring basis:
Hourly - To Schedule Reports to Run Hourly
◦ Select Hourly.
◦ In the Every field, select the frequency at which you want to run the reports. For example, if you select 2, the reports will be run once in two hours.
◦ In the Starting field, select a start date and time for running the reports.
◦ In the Ending field, select the date until which you want the reports to be run. Select No End Date if you do not want to specify an end date for running the reports.
Daily - To Schedule Reports to Run Daily
◦ Select Daily.
◦ In the Every field, select the frequency at which you want to run the reports. For example, if you select 2, the reports will be run once in two days.

Select Every Weekday if you want to run the reports every day from Monday to Friday.
◦ In the Starting field, select a start date and time for running the reports.
◦ In the Ending field, select the date until which you want the reports to be run. Select No End Date if you do not want to specify an end date for running the reports.
Weekly - To Schedule Report to Run Weekly
◦ Select Weekly.
◦ In the Every field, select the frequency at which you want to run the reports. For example, if you select 2, the reports will be run once in two weeks. You can also specify the days of the week on which you want to run the reports.
◦ In the Starting field, select a start date and time for running the reports.
◦ In the Ending field, select the date until which you want the reports to be run. Select No End Date if you do not want to specify an end date for running the reports.
Monthly - To Schedule Reports to Run Monthly
◦ Select Monthly.
◦ In the On Day field, select the day of the month on which you want to run the reports. If you select 2, the reports will be run on the second of every month.
◦ In the Every field, select the frequency at which you want to run the reports. For example, if you select 2, the reports will be run once in two months.
◦ In the Starting field, select a start date and time for running the reports.
◦ In the Ending field, select the date until which you want the reports to be run. Select No End Date if you do not want to specify an end date for running the reports.
7. Click Next. The Options page of the Schedule wizard is displayed.
8. Select Send mail to to send out the report by e-mail.
9. Click . The Select Names dialog box is displayed. You can type the e-mail addresses in the Type name or select from list field, or select them from the Talisma Address List, Corporate Address List, and the Talisma Contact List using the Show names from field.
10. Select the e-mail address to which you want to send the report, and click . To select adjacent e-mail addresses, select the first address, hold down the SHIFT key, and click the last e-mail address. To make random selections, select the first address, hold down the CTRL key, and click on the other addresses.
11. Click OK.
12. In the Outgoing Alias field, select the e-mail address using which the message will be sent.
13. In the Message text field, type the message you want to send with the report.
14. Select Save as Excel to save the report as a Microsoft Excel file. Type the path or click Browse to select the location where you want to save the file.
15. Select Save as HTML to save the report as an HTML file. Type the path or click Browse to select the location where you want to save the file.
16. Select Overwrite if you want to save the report with the same name every time the report is run.
17. Click Finish.
Note • If a Scheduled Report configured to be sent by e-mail fails, an e-mail message will be sent to the recipient of the report, informing the recipient that the report failed. • You can schedule reports that other Users have shared with you. • While saving the report as a Microsoft Excel or as an HTML file, if you do not select the Overwrite option, the report will be saved with a different file name every time the report is run. • A report saved in HTML format cannot be sent as an e-mail attachment. • Attachments accompanying scheduled reports will include custom Excel sheets, if there are any. • From the My Reports pane, you cannot select multiple reports for scheduling. Even if you select multiple reports, only one report will be selected for scheduling.
