Connector Overview

Anthology Inc.'s Connector component connects the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system with the Student Information System (SIS).

Connector is installed as an optional component using the Installation Manager application.

Connector integrates data in the two systems with the goal of providing unique business value through closed loop tracking and performance measurement between outbound marketing campaigns and recruiting activities, and the resulting inbound lead flow and student outcomes.

To achieve this business goal, Connector integrates the two systems at both operational and reference data levels. Operational data is the actual transactional data maintained in the two systems. Reference data is used to qualify the operational transaction data in the two systems.

Connector thus achieves lead life-cycle management and measurement across all stages and statuses: from lead generation to student outcome.

Key Components

The key components of Connector are:

  • The Connector Service Manager, which is installed as a Windows service that runs in the background and provides four constituent services that poll and forward messages between the two systems.

  • The Connector Queue Manager application that is a central point of management for viewing queues and resolving error messages.

Additionally, Connector leverages complementary components and configuration options to enable integration between Anthology Student and CampusNexus CRM.

  • Connector XML based Configuration and mapping files that serve as a central point of application and integration configuration.

  • iServices for integrating data into CampusNexus CRM.

  • CampusLink APIs for integrating data into Anthology Student.

  • Configuration options in Anthology Student to enable or disable integration between the two systems.

  • Configuration options in CampusNexus CRM to enable or disable integration between the two systems, map users, map stages/school statuses and map teams/campuses.

Benefits of Using Connector

Connector provides the following benefits by integrating data across the two systems:

  • Ability to have an integrated view of students, applicants, enrollments, and activities across the student lifecycle

  • Integrated view of Accounts including High Schools, Colleges, Lead Vendors and Employers

  • Shared student program information such as Areas of Interest, Program, and Program Version

  • Sharing of common student attributes such as School Status, Marital Status, Country and State.

  • School-defined business rules and workflow to enable the integration of data between the two systems.

By integrating CampusNexus CRM with Anthology Student and providing closed loop performance measurement from source to student outcome, Connector enables institutions to make informed decisions on future strategies and operational process improvements based on real-time and historical results.
