Add, Remove, and Waive Requirement Rules for Students
You can use the Requirement Rules Audit tab to:
- Add a requirement rule specific to the student
- Remove requirement rules that are specific to the student
- Waive a requirement rule
The requirement rule reviews the courses in the applicable areas and applies the relevant courses to fulfill the rule until all requirements are satisfied. These courses are displayed in the applied courses section of the DPA Requirement Rule Audit tab. When a requirement rule is applied at the Program level, it consumes all applicable courses within the PV(s) and AoS(s) course lists (and EPs) to fulfill the rule for the student.

When a requirement rule is applied at the Program level, it consumes all applicable courses listed under the PV(s) and AoS(s), including EPs, to fulfill its requirements for the student.

When a requirement rule is applied at the PV level, it consumes all applicable courses listed under the PV course list and EPs, as well as those in the AoS course list and EPs, to fulfill its requirements.

You should also be familiar with the Background for Requirement Rules.
If you want to select the Advanced – Rule Based in the Type list for requirement rules to specify more complex requirements, your institution must have selected Yes for Enable Rule Based Requirement Rules and Levels
when it configured advanced features in the system settings for Anthology Student.
If you want to enable the advanced requirement rules engine and user interface in the Student Web App, set Enable Advanced Requirement Rules Feature
to Yes . (Select the Settings tile > expand System > select Advanced Features.)
Access Method
Select the Students tile > select the name in the Students list > expand Academic Records > select the Degree Progress Audit tile > select the Requirement Rules Audit tab.
Procedures for Managing Requirement Rules

Verify that the program version is correct. If not, select the specific program version in the Program Version drop-down list.

Review the page. You can review:

The progress bar that shows the percentage of requirement rules fulfilled.

The summary for requirement rules that shows the numbers for Required Requirement Rules, Fulfilled Requirement Rules, and Unfulfilled Requirement Rules.
- The requirement rule is in red it is unfulfilled and in grey it is fulfilled.

Take any needed additional actions.
Add a new requirement

Select the New Requirement button.
Anthology Student displays the new requirement rule dialog.

In Catalog Name, review, specify, or change the following values.

In the grid, review, specify, or change the following values.

Select the Select button.
Anthology Student saves the requirement rule record.
Remove a requirement rule

Select the requirement rule record you want to remove.

Select the Remove button.
Anthology Student confirms whether you want to remove the requirement rule records. When confirmed, Anthology Student removes the requirement rules records.
Waive a requirement rule

Select the requirement rule record you want to waive.

Select the Waive button. Anthology Student displays the waive requirement rule dialog.

Review, specify, or change the following values.

Select the Waive button.
Edit a requirement rule
If you want to edit an existing list item, select the requirement rule record to view.

Select the View Details button. Anthology Student displays the requirement rule configuration page with Add Conditions
and Add Condition Group

Add a condition, select the Add Conditions button. Anthology Student displays the Requirement Rule Conditions page.

Edit a condition, select the highlighted name in the list .

A new test score record is added to a student record. This satisfies the requirement rule if a minimum score is not entered in the requirement rule.

Specify the number of conditions to be met by a student to fulfill their course requirements. The default value is 0.
