Create Custom Printable Documents and Reports

Anthology Student includes: 

  • Printable documents (such as award letters)
  • Predefined reports from the Reports tile

Your institution can also create custom printable documents and reports. For example, you can create award letters for different campuses that you can then select when you print an award letter for a student.

The print page size in the following reports has been changed to the default U.S. size of 8.5 x 11 inches. The actual printing is not affected.

Determine the Method to Use to Create Custom Reports

Anthology Student has more than one option for creating custom reports. You can create reports: 

  • In Anthology Student

  • Outside of Anthology Student using components of SSRS

Where Done Method and Where Displayed Prerequisites Data Available How Access to the Report is Controlled Supported Export Formats
In Anthology Student Views Explorer (Select the Views tile > Explore Views tile.)

You must have Views - Module Data authorization for the type of data in the view. For example, to access views that contain:

  • Financial aid data, you must have Views - Financial Aid Data authorization

  • Admissions data, you must have Views - Admissions Data authorization

Data and fields that you have been authorized to view.

Any staff member who is authorized to access the folder where the view is saved in Views Explorer can access the report.

  • Excel

  • PDF

  • Query URL that is a direct link to the query and all the data in the view that can be used in an application that supports OData (such as Microsoft Excel) 

Outside of Anthology Student using components of SSRS Reports list (Select the Reports tile.)

You must have: 

  • Access to the Anthology Student database

  • Access to your Microsoft Reporting Services web portal

  • Permissions to work with the Reporting Services web portal and Report Builder components of SSRS 

All the data and fields in the Anthology Student database.

Any staff member who is authorized to access the folder where the report is saved on the report server can display the report in the folder in Anthology Student
