Degrees, Honors, and Badges

You can track the degrees, honors, and badges that were awarded to the student, along with the dates they were awarded. Degrees are related to program versions with more than one degree associated with a program version.

Using the Degrees, Honors, and Badges feature, you can view the honors and badges by enrollment or by term.

  • Term honors and badges are based on grades achieved for a semester, for example, Dean’s Honor Roll

  • Enrollment-level honors and badges are for students who have excelled academically in all semesters combined, for example, magna or summa cum laude

The grid shows the items for the program version of the current enrollment (if any). Use the Program Version drop-down to change the program version. You cannot select All Program Versions.

Prerequisites

To view the page, you must have:

  • Common - Student - View authorization

  • Academics - Student Enrollment Period Degree - View authorization

  • Academics - Student Enrollment Period Honor - View authorization

To add, delete, and edit Degrees, you must have Academics - Student Enrollment Period Degree - New, Delete, and Edit authorization.

To add, delete, and edit Honors and Badges, you must have Academics - Student Enrollment Period Honor - New, Delete, and Edit authorization.

Access Method

Select the Students tile > select the name in the Students list > expand Academic Records > select the Degrees Honors Badges tile.

Procedure to Add or Edit Degrees

You can manually add or edit a degree awarded to the student.

  1. Verify that the program version is correct. If not, select the specific program version in the Program Version drop-down list.

  2. Review the values of the records in the grid.

  3. If you want to: 

    • Add a degree, select the New button

    • Edit a degree, select the Degree link

  4. Specify the following values.

    Date AwardedClosed The date when the degree or honor was awarded to the student.

    Date ClearedClosed The date when the student was cleared to graduate.

    DegreeClosed The academic degree.

    Transcript NoteClosed Comments or additional information associated with the degree that will be displayed on the official and unofficial transcript.

  1. Select Save to save the changes.  

Procedure to Add or Edit Honors and Badges

You can add or edit an honor and badge and a term honor and badge.

  1. Verify that the program version is correct. If not, select the specific program version in the Program Version drop-down list.

  2. If you want to: 

    • Add an honor and badge, select the New button

    • Edit an honor and badge, select the highlighted link in the grid.

  3. Specify the appropriate values on the dialog.

  1. Select Save to save the changes.  

Procedure to Delete Degrees, Honors, and Badges

You can delete a degree record.

  1. Verify that the program version is correct. If not, select the specific program version in the Program Version drop-down list.

  1. Highlight the record you want to delete.

  2. Select the Delete button on the toolbar.
