You can use the NSLDS Reports Import page to import Cohort Default Rate and Delinquent Borrower reports into the Anthology Student database.

  • On the Process tab, specify the import criteria and run the process. The Process tab is not used when the import process is automated via schedules.

  • On the History tab, review the results of manually queued jobs and scheduled jobs. You can also view details about the records within the batch and access the student profiles.

  • On the Schedule tab, create, edit, activate, deactivate, delete schedules, and specify import options (i.e., selection criteria). You can also view detailed information on the last 5 runs of a scheduled import process and manually trigger an import process.

Financial Aid Processes File Management

Anthology Student version 22.0 and later enables customers to manage files in Azure File Storage using the Financial Aid Processes File Management form under Processes > System Administration. Without this form, users cannot upload or download files to Azure File Storage due to security restrictions. The file management functionality enables you to place files in the location where specific financial aid processes (e.g., Application Data Export/Import, Clearinghouse, NSLDS Reports, and others) expect to find the files. For more details, refer to Financial Aid Processes File Management.

Prerequisites

You must have the following authorization:

Procedure to Import NSLDS Reports

Process Tab

Use the Process tab to specify the selection criteria for manually queued import jobs. For automated imports, use the Schedule tab to specify the import options.

  1. Select a File Type.

    • Cohort Default Rate

    • Delinquent Borrower Report

For more details, refer to Export and Import File Types.

  2. Select the search icon (Search icon) in the Selected File field and select the file you want to import.

The available files list shows only files that match the selected File Type even though the EDE path may contain other files.

  3. The Campus EDE Path of the user's default campus is displayed.

Important: You must load the report files received from NSLDS into the configured Campus EDE path.

  1. Select the Queue Import button.

The Submit Batch window displays the default Batch Name. You can edit the Batch Name.

  1. Select Submit in the Submit Batch window. This starts the background job to process the data and create batches from the selection criteria. For each file to import, one job is created.

The selected file is read from the local Campus EDE path and copied to the System EDE Path.

  2. When the job is submitted successfully, the following message is displayed: “The <File Type> import was successfully queued.

The processed import files are renamed to BK.

    Examples:

    • DELQFFOP.001 will be renamed to DELQFFBK.001.

    • SHCDREOP.002 will be renamed to SHCDREBK.002.

The extension of the import file (e.g., 001) indicates the transaction sequence number.

  3. When the job is completed, a notification appears in the command bar. The number of failed jobs will be indicated in red (Notification).

    Continue with the History tab.
