Create a Batch to Import ZIP Codes
You can use the ZIP Code Import page to create and queue a batch that imports ZIP code data and replaces the data in the Anthology Student with the data in the file.
When you import a file, any existing ZIP codes are removed and replaced with the ZIP codes in the imported file.
Prerequisites
You must have:
-
Common - Processes - View authorization
- Contact Manager - Processes - ZIP Code Import authorization
Because existing ZIP codes are removed when a file is imported, Anthology recommends that you back up your ZIP code data before you import the new ZIP codes. The existing ZIP codes are located in the SyZipCode table in the Anthology Student database. (You can use the same location to view the new zip codes after they are imported. )
You must have a comma-separated value (CSV) file that contains the zip codes with a .csv extension. For example, you can import a file from http://www.zipcodedownload.com.
The file must be in the specified format. The table shows:

Access Method
Select the Processes tile > locate Contact Manager > select ZIP Code Import.
Procedure to Create and Queue the Batch
-
Select the Process tab.
-
Select the Choose File button.
-
On the dialog, select the file and select the Open button.
Anthology Student displays the name of the file in the File To Import field.
-
Select the Queue ZIP Code Import button and confirm you want to overwrite the existing ZIP codes.
- On the Queue Batch dialog, review or change the name of the batch and select the Queue button.
Anthology Student processes the batch and overwrites the zip codes with the zip codes in the file. The ZIP codes are then available to select in the lists for ZIP codes in Anthology Student.
When the batch completes, Anthology Student displays the results on the History tab so that you can review the results and verify that the zip codes were imported.
