College Finance Plan

The College Finance Plan, formerly known as the Financial Aid Shopping Sheet, is a standardized form developed by the U.S. Department of Education for prospective students to compare the estimated costs of colleges and the types and amounts of aid available. The costs listed are subject to change and financial aid is contingent upon the student meeting all eligibility requirements. All financial aid depends on available funds and is based on full-time enrollment. The College Finance Plan is your institution's best estimate of a student's financial aid eligibility based on FAFSA results or institutional methodology, projected costs, and possible funds. The actual amounts will be provided to the student in the official award letter.

Use the tabs on the College Finance Plan form to configure College Finance Plans for undergraduate and graduate students. You can:

  • Specify the cost of attendance at the campus and program version level for prospective students.

  • Specify the loan and grant options at the campus and program version level for prospective students.

  • Specify work-study and income share agreements for undergraduate and graduate students.

Note: For award years 2022-23 and later, the "Work-Study / Income Share Agreements" tab is renamed "Work-Study / VA Education Benefits". Institutions can specify the maximum amounts available under VA Education Benefits. When printing/publishing the College Finance Plan for students, institutions choose if they want to include VA Education Benefits on the College Finance Plan.

  • Specify interest rates and origination fees for loans.

  • Specify the fund source categories for enrolled students.

Note: For some short, non-eligible programs there likely will not be an academic year configured in Anthology Student. To provide a College Finance Plan to students enrolled in these programs, you can leverage the Prospective Student College Finance Plan options.

  • Add the campus logo and a shortened institution name to the College Finance Plan.

Note: In Regulatory 14.1 and later, the "Logo / Short Name" tab is renamed "Logo / Address". The tab enables institutions to configure specific contact and address information for their financial aid office to be included on the College Finance Plan form for students. Previously, the College Finance Plan displayed generic contact information that was retrieved from the campus configuration.

  • Add custom text to the comment fields at the bottom of the College Finance Plan form.
