HOPE Scholarships

You can use the HOPE Scholarships page to configure Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally (HOPE) and Zell Miller Scholarships by mapping the information in Anthology Student to the values required for evaluating and extracting the information required by the State of Georgia.

The configuration you specify here is used when you:

  • Review state reporting evaluations (Select the Students tile > select the name in the Students list > expand Financial Aid > select the State Report Evaluation tile.)

  • Export the files that contain the student information required by the State of Georgia for HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships (Select the Processes tile > expand Financial Aid > select HOPE Extract Export.)

The HOPE Scholarship Program is a merit-based higher education scholarship. The ability of a student to pay is not a factor. Eligibility is based on their academic performance. The requirements for the student include:

  • Being a resident of the state of Georgia for at least one year

  • Graduating from high school with a 3.0 GPA

  • Maintaining a cumulative 3.0 GPA throughout college

The HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships have four tiers throughout the student program. A student has attempted:

  • 1- 29 credit hours
  • 30 - 59 credit hours
  • 60 - 89 credit hours
  • 90 - 127 credit hours

You can expand and specify:

  • Campus Mapping: Maps the campuses to codes and paths for export files.

  • Fund Source Mapping: Maps the scholarships to the fund source you configured in Anthology Student.

  • Term Mapping: Maps the award years and terms you have configured in Anthology Student to the terms defined by the State of Georgia.

  • Benchmark Mapping: Specifies the evaluation criteria that Anthology Student uses. The evaluation of the criteria is at an overall student level, so it crosses all enrollments and campuses for the student.

  • Tier Mapping: Specifies the state grant evaluation tiers for HOPE. You can configure the range of credits within each tier by credit hour ranges. The evaluation of the HOPE criteria is at an overall student level, so it crosses all enrollments and campuses for the student.
