Copy Program Version and Properties

Using the Copy Program Version feature, you can create a copy of the program version along with all records associated with the selected properties.

If you enable pools based elective pools in version 21.1 or later, Anthology Student automatically creates pools for the catalogs created prior to 21.1 during the copy. The pools it creates are added to the Pools list (Select the Configuration tile > locate Academic Records > select Pools.)

The pools Anthology Student creates have a name in the format Poolname OldCopy2. For example, if you had a pool with the name EP Art, it will appear in the list as EP Art OldCopy2. If needed, you can then modify and reuse those pools when you configure the elective and substitution in the course lists for your: 

  • Program versions (Select the Configuration tile > locate Academic Records > select Programs > select the name of the program in the list > select the New button and specify the general information or select an existing program version in the list > select the Course Lists tile.)

  • Areas of study (Select the Configuration tile > locate Academic Records > select Area of Study > select the New button and specify the general information or select an existing area of study name in the list > select the Course List tile.)

Prerequisites

To edit the page, you must have Academics - Configuration - Manage authorization.

Access Method

Select the Configuration tile > expand Academic Records > select Programs.

Procedure to Add or Edit Items

  1. Edit a Program record.

  2. In the Program Versions grid, select a Program Version

  3. Select the Copy Program Version button.

  4. Specify or change the following values.

    Program Version CodeClosed The program version code.

    Program Version NameClosed The name of the program version.

  5. In the Program Version Properties to Copy popup, select all the properties that you would like to copy the values from. The copy action will copy over all the items associated with each of the properties.

    You can copy over the following items only if you select Course Lists: 

    • Degree Pathway Templates
    • Areas of Study
    • Requirement Rules

    Start Date information is not copied over.

    Note: The program versions to copy need to be configured to match the configuration for the original program version. Especially, the Academic Calendar and Academic Year Type need to match between program versions. Other configurations for these program versions may also be needed for the functionality to fully work as expected.

  6. Select the Copy button.
