Background for Courses Added for Test Scores
Your institution can specify that remedial courses are required when a minimum test score is not met for:
-
Programs
-
Program Versions
When the student is enrolled in one of the programs or program versions and you specify a test score that is less than the minimum, Anthology Student automatically adds the remedial courses to their:
-
Student Courses list and displays Test Scores in the Added From column (Select the Students tile > select the name in the Students list > expand Academic Records > select the Student Courses tile.)
-
Degree Pathway page in Term 0 in any draft or approved custom plans and the Student plan (Select the Students tile > select the name in the Students list > expand Academic Records > select the Degree Pathway tile.)
You cannot change the course on the Degree Pathway page until you specify a category from the Student Courses tile. For example, if you know the:
-
The category and term, you can specify them for the course and Anthology Student will display them in the correct location on the Degree Pathway page
-
Just the category, you can specify that and then use the Degree Pathway page to move the course to one of the available terms
If the Student is Not Enrolled
If you just associate the student with a program, the test is added as required and displayed when All Program Versions is selected for Program Versions in their Test Scores list. (Select the Students tile > select the name in the Students list > expand Admissions > select the Test Scores tile.)
If you specify a test score and it is less than the minimum, Anthology Student does not automatically add the remedial course.
When you enroll the student in the program, the same test is added as required for the specific program and you must specify the test score again for the remedial courses to be added automatically.
