Job Conversion Rate

You can use the Job Conversion Rate report to generate the information about the conversion rate of job listings in placements.

Prerequisites

You must have: 

  • Common - Reports - View authorization

  • Either Reports - Career Services - Job Conversion Rate or Career Services - All Reports authorization (All Reports provides authorization to view all reports for Career Services.) 

To configure the timeout duration for the Export to Excel button, your institution must have configured Export to Excel Timeout in SecondsClosed Enter the Timeout Value in seconds (0-900) for all the SSRS Export to Excel. under SettingsSystemGeneral.

If you frequently generate reports with the same selection criteria, you can save the selection criteria under a name. This makes it easier to generate reports in the future with the same selection criteria.

Access Method

Select the Reports tile > locate Career Services > select Job Conversion Rate.

Procedure to Generate the Report

  1. Specify the data selection criteria.

    Available DateClosed The date when the item or person is available. From and To

    Campus GroupsClosed Specifies the campus group for which the report is generated.

    CampusesClosed The campus or campuses to which a person or item is assigned. It is filtered to display the campuses to which you have access. In some cases, it is also used to filter a list to only those items for the campus. In some lists, you can select more than one campus or select All. In lists that display columns, if the column contains more than one campus, you cannot sort or filter on that column.

    CityClosed Select the condition for the city in the report. The values are Equal To, Not Equal To, Greater than, Less than, Between, Like, and Include All. For example, if you select the condition Between and enter the range (Aventura;Coral Springs) in the respective value field, the report displays the academic years between Aventura and Coral Springs only.

    City ValueClosed Enter the city value.

    Contact TypesClosed The contact types for employer. They are configured by your institution.

    Date AddedClosed The date when the item or person was added or the status change was entered. From and To

    Date PlacedClosed The date the student is being placed. From and To

    Employer GroupsClosed The name of the employer group. If you are selecting a group and your institution has configured Anthology Student to limit groups to campuses, you can only select groups for the campus that you are assigned to. If you are selecting a group, it can also be filtered to display groups where you are the owner, public groups, and private groups where you have been given access.

    EmployersClosed The name of the employer. If you are selecting the employer from a list, it contains the names of all the employers configured for your institution.

    Employment TypesClosed The type of employment.

    Full Part TimeClosed Select an option for type of job for which you want to generate the report. The options are: - Full Time - Part Time - Both

    Graduation DateClosed The date when the student graduated or is scheduled to graduate from the program version. From and To

    IndustriesClosed The type of industry.

    Load Saved CriteriaClosed Select the required saved criteria that you want to load in the selection criteria fields.

    Job CategoriesClosed The category of job.

    Job TitlesClosed The title of job. They are configured by your institution.

    Job TypesClosed The type of job. They are configured by your institution.

    Pay Rate LowClosed Select the condition for the pay rate low in the report. The values are Equal To, Not Equal To, Greater than, Less than, Between, Like, and Include All. For example, if you select the condition Between and enter the range (1;100000) in the respective value field, the report displays the pay rate low between 1 and 100000 only.

    Pay Rate Low ValueClosed Enter the pay rate low value.

    Salary HighClosed Select the condition for the salary high in the report. The values are Equal To, Not Equal To, Greater than, Less than, Between, Like, and Include All. For example, if you select the condition Between and enter the range (1;1000000) in the respective value field, the report displays the salary high values between 1 and 1000000 only.

    Salary High ValueClosed Enter the salary high value.

    Show Avg TimeClosed Specifies whether or not the report you want to display the average length of time it took to close the job listings. The average time is calculated differently based upon what the outcome of the job was. If the student was placed (job status = filled), the average time is based on the low availability date, to the date that the student was placed in the job. If the job was closed (status = closed or unable to fill) and no placements have been made, the average time is based on the low availability date to the high availability date.

    StateClosed Select the condition for the state in the report. The values are Equal To, Not Equal To, Greater than, Less than, Between, Like, and Include All. For example, if you select condition Between and enter the range (a;g) in the respective value field, the report displays the states between a and g only.

    State ValueClosed Enter the state value.

    StatusClosed Select the job status of employer for which you want to generate the report. The options are: - All Types - Available - Filled - Unable to Fill - Pending - Deleted - Closed

  1. Take the appropriate action.

    View the report

    1.  Select the View Report button. Anthology Student displays the generated report.

    Export the report

    1.  Select the Export to Excel button. Anthology Student displays the Export Report Data dialog box.

    2.  Review, specify, or change the following value.

    Export File NameClosed The name of the exported file.

    3.  Select the Export button.

    Anthology Student exports the generated report as a CSV file which may be viewed in Excel. In some cases, the exported file will contain additional data not displayed in the report on your screen.

    Note: If you entered special characters like *, -, !, (, or ) in the report fields, Anthology Student automatically prepends an apostrophe to those field values upon export to Excel or CSV. The apostrophe is added to reduce vulnerability, as these characters are perceived by Excel as an actionable formula. Once the report is exported to Excel, Anthology suggests using find and replace on the characters only if necessary to restore original values.

    Save the selection criteria

    1.  Select the Save Criteria button. Anthology Student displays the Save Criteria dialog box.

    2.  Specify the name to save the criteria.

    3.  Select the Save button. Anthology Student saves the selection criteria for the report.

    Delete the selection criteria

    1.  Select the Delete Saved Criteria button. Anthology Student displays the Delete Criteria dialog box.

    2.  Select the Delete button. Anthology Student deletes the selected saved criteria for the report.

Details for the Report

In the report:

  • Job Conversion Rate reports are sorted by Campus, Program Version, Student Name
  • Students are sorted alphabetically by name

  • If you set Show Avg TimeClosed Specifies whether or not the report you want to display the average length of time it took to close the job listings. The average time is calculated differently based upon what the outcome of the job was. If the student was placed (job status = filled), the average time is based on the low availability date, to the date that the student was placed in the job. If the job was closed (status = closed or unable to fill) and no placements have been made, the average time is based on the low availability date to the high availability date. to Yes, an Average Time appears on the sort sub totals line
  • How many job listings have been closed (a student was placed into the job), canceled, or unable to fill are displayed

  • The number of new job listings entered and the corresponding placements by campus, industry, and category are displayed
  • The average length of time to close listings for each category are displayed
