Manage Security

Before you can use Anthology Student, you must be:

  • Added as a staff member in Anthology Student

  • Authorized to use the features in Anthology Student

If your institution also uses:

  • Policies for documents or tasks, you must have permission in the policy to access the type of document or task

  • Field security, you must also be authorized to view and edit fields (For example, some institutions require you to be authorized to view or edit the Social Security Numbers for students.)

In most cases, the features, documents, tasks, and fields that you do not have access to will not be displayed. Who you contact if you have questions or need to request access will depend on your institution. In most cases, it is either your:

  • System Administrator

  • Office or Department Manager

The authorizations and permissions required to use a feature are listed in the topic in this help system. For example, if you are trying to add or edit a task, see the topic on adding or editing tasks for the prerequisite authorization and permissions.

NoteThe product interface previously called the "standard interface" is now called the "Student Web App".

Authorizations for the legacy interface for Anthology Student are managed in the legacy interface. Any authorizations you had in the legacy interface do not apply to the Student Web App.
