General Definitions

Description
This form displays all the general definitions, or parameters, that the current company configured with. These parameters affect how specific functions behave in Anthology Payroll. You cannot add new parameters to this form; you can only change the associated value of each parameter. Depending on the parameter, this value can be a:
- String value
- Integer value
- Real value
- Date
- Time
The General definitions form also includes the product version at the top of the form.

Fields
| Field | Description |

| General definition code | Unique name of the parameter |
| General definition description | Additional information about the parameter |
| Category | Informational classification of the parameter to denote how the parameter is used or when it should be set |
| String value | User-configurable setting for the parameter. Can be object selection or straight text entry. |
| Description | Additional information about the String value if it is a selected object |
| Integer value | Integer number value associated with the parameter setting, if applicable |
| Real value | Real number value associated with the parameter setting, if applicable |
| Date | Date value associated with the parameter setting, if applicable |
| Time | Time value associated with the parameter setting, if applicable |
| Active date | First date the record is in effect |
| Expiry date | Last date the record is in effect |
