Create a Default Customer Posting Profile
Customer posting profiles are used to control the posting of customer transactions to the General Ledger.
When Anthology Finance & HCM is integrated with Anthology Student, a customer posting profile is used while voiding a student transaction. It is necessary to create a customer posting profile and specify it as the default.
To create a customer posting profile, perform the following steps:
-
Navigate to Accounts receivable > Setup > Customer posting profiles.
-
Select New to create a new customer posting profile.
-
In the Posting profile field, enter a code for the posting profile.
-
In the Description field, enter a description for the customer posting profile.
-
Expand the Setup FastTab, select Add, and perform the following steps:
-
In the Account code field, select All to indicate that all customer transactions will have the same posting profile.
-
In the Summary account field, select the ledger account that will be used as the summary account during the transaction voiding process.
-
-
Expand the Table restrictions FastTab, and set the following options to Yes:
- Allow automatic settlement
- Interest
- Collection letter
-
Select Save and close the form.
To set the customer posting profile created in the above steps as the default customer posting profile, follow these steps:
-
Navigate to Accounts receivable > Setup > Accounts receivable parameters.
-
Select the Ledger and sales tax tab.
-
On the General FastTab, in the Posting profile field, select the posting profile that must be set as the default.
-
Select Save and close the form.
